It is almost after 30 years that a political party has got a majority seats by crossing 272 seats. The results were very shockingwhen the oldest party of India, Congress got only 44 seats which was the party's worst performance ever. Even a new party AAP(Aam Aadmi Party) was boasted as game changer by Arvind Kejriwal but Arvind Kejriwal himslef lost and the party got only 4 seats all from Punjab and more than 400 of the AAP candidates lost their deposit.

In these elections Narendra Modi(designated Prime Minister of India on 20 May, 2014) was projected by Bhartiya Janta Party as prime ministerial candidate and Modi took incharge for party's campaigns that included variuos programs like 3D rally and Chai Pe Charcha.
Some of the most shocking results this time in comparison with 2009 Loksabha Elections are :-
BJP got stupendous clean sweep by winning all the seats in 10 states and Union Territories like in Delhi(7 seats), Gujrat(26 seats), Rajasthan(25 seats), Goa(2 seats), Uttarakhand(5 seats), Himachal Pradesh(4 seats), Daman and Diu(1 seats) are to name a few.
In Uttar Pradesh BJP won 71 seats and which were only at 10 seats. The credit goes to Amit Shah, the incharge for elections in UP. Here SP got 5 seats, BSP got 0 seats and Congress got only 2 seats which were the seats of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and remaining 2 seats are of BJP ally Apna Dal.
Many of the big faces of Congress like Kapil Sibal, Salman Khursheed, Ajay Maken, Meera Kumar, Sriprakash Jaiswal, Farooq Abdullah, Ghulam Nabi Azad are to name a few who lost in their Loksabha Consituency massively.
And opposite to Congress, BJP candidates like Narendra Modi, LK Advani, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj, General V.K. Singh, Nitin Gadkari got a great win in their consituency.
So lets see how the Indian Politics change after these results and also we will have an eye on the initial steps taken by Narendra Modi and his government after taking oath on 26 May, 2014.
